"Table 3" of "Measurement of matter-antimatter differences in beauty baryon decays"
2017
For $\Lambda_b^0\to p\pi^-\pi^+\pi^-$ decays, the CP- and P-violating observables, $a^{\hat{T}-odd}_{CP}$ and $a^{\hat{T}-odd}_{P}$, resulting from the fit to the data are listed with their statistical and systematic uncertainties. Each value is obtained through an independent fit to a region of the phase space defined in Scheme A.
"Table 1" of "Measurement of matter-antimatter differences in beauty baryon decays"
2017
Binning scheme A is defined to exploit interference patterns arising from the resonant structure of the decay. Bins 1-4 focus on the region dominated by the $\Delta(1232)^{++}\to p\pi^{+}$. The other eight bins are defined to study regions where $p\pi^{-}$ esonances are present (5-8) on either side of the $\rho(770)^{0}\to\pi^{+}\pi^{-}$ resonances (5-12). Further splitting for $|\Phi|$ lower or greater than $\pi/2$ is done to reduce potential dilution of asymmetries.
Structure and function of the vacuolar Ccc1/VIT1 family of iron transporters and its regulation in fungi
2020
Iron is an essential micronutrient for most living beings since it participates as a redox active cofactor in many biological processes including cellular respiration, lipid biosynthesis, DNA replication and repair, and ribosome biogenesis and recycling. However, when present in excess, iron can participate in Fenton reactions and generate reactive oxygen species that damage cells at the level of proteins, lipids and nucleic acids. Organisms have developed different molecular strategies to protect themselves against the harmful effects of high concentrations of iron. In the case of fungi and plants, detoxification mainly occurs by importing cytosolic iron into the vacuole through the Ccc1/V…
Purification of a cytochrome aa3 terminal oxidase from protoplast membrane vesicles of Micrococcus luteus
1994
Abstract A cytochrome aa 3 terminal oxidase was isolated from protoplast membrane vesicles of Micrococcus luteus grown under aerobic conditions. The purified complex showed similarities to cytochrome c oxidase (EC 1.9.3.1) of the electron transport chain of mitochondria and many prokaryotes. The enzyme was solubilized by subsequent treatment with the detergents CHAPS and n- dodecyl -β- d - maltoside and purified by ion-exchange chromatography using poly- l -lysine agarose and TMAE-fractogel-650 (S) columns, followed by hydroxyapatite chromatography. The purified complex is composed of two major subunits with apparent molecular masses of 54 and 32 kDa. After purification the isolated enzyme …

Contents and functions of dramatizations in team decision making
2017
This study examines the contents and functions of dramatizations in natural team decision making. Theoretically, the study employs symbolic convergence theory to understand decision making as a complex phenomenon constructed in symbolic communication. Observational meeting data and thematic interview data from an autonomous team in Finland were analyzed. A fantasy theme analysis and an inductive, rhetorical discourse analysis revealed three rhetorical visions and seven functions of dramatizations in the team’s decision making. Visions represented social, righteous, and pragmatic master analogues. The functions of dramatizations were legitimizing independent and current decisions, reinforci…
